Carly Chaikin の Dylan Lyrics Tattoo

MR. Robot を 2 度目に見ている最中、ただいま中盤あたり。今シーズンの「最大のオチ」を知って見返すと「なるほどね」という気づきが多い。ただ、初めて観た時の面白さが徐々に減ってる気はしている。"Breaking Bad" も 2 度目に観た時はそんな感じだった。その意味では、何度でも楽しんだ "Orange is the New Black" はやはり別格だ。

この人、Darlene 役の Carly Chaikin 。

面白いドラマに必要な「濃いキャラクター」として、このドラマで真っ先に挙げるのが彼女。主人公の Rami Malek も良いのだが、ここでは彼女を取り上げる。

だって、彼女が Bob Dylan ファンと知ったから（笑）

この最初の登場シーンから「おぉ...」となった。

そんな彼女は、複数の tattoo を入れているそうだ。絵じゃなくて、引用文や単語とのこと。そしてこれが Dylan の歌詞の tatoo 。

歌は "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" と直ぐにわかりました。Dylan が 50 年前のステージで高らかに「決別」を宣言した歌だ。

「なぜ tattoo にこの歌詞なの？」と疑問なのだが、その辺は個人の歌詞への解釈の違いだろう。「へぇ〜」という感じ。日本の「入墨事情」については、先日書いた（「入墨お断り」が消える時...）。日頃 tattoo を見慣れてないためか、個人的には tattoo を積極的に良いとは思っていない。とはいえ「個人の好み」という感じと、完全に割り切っている。温泉で tattoo 入れている人に遭遇しても何とも思わない。誰に対しても、日本の「慣習」を強制する気はないのです、「余計なお世話」ですよね。

Carly Chaikin: I have eleven. I have a lot of quotes and words. I have Bob Dylan lyrics on my ribs. I'm a diehard Dylan fan, and my dad and I joke that if I ever met him, I'd have him sign his name right under my tattoo and then I'd run to the parlor to get his signature tattooed. But I think my favorite one is the "LB" on my middle finger. "LB" stands for Lavender Bunny--the name of my childhood stuffed animal!

a diehard Dylan fan だって。彼女以外でも、Dylan ファンを明言している海外の俳優はいるけど、日本人では知らないな。いるんだろうけどね...。

ところでこの tattoo は、「え、そんなところに！？」という箇所に入ってました（笑）オモロイ女優さんです (^^)b
